Hero angles

KARLA BIDI (meaning fire trail in Noongar language) is inspired by the tradition of lighting fires to greet and guide visitors.

WHEN: Fri 7 Feb – Sun 2 Mar, from after sunset until late WHERE: Various sites along the Derbarl Yerrigan / Swan River including South Mole

This captivating experience inspired by the Noongar tradition will transform the Derbarl Yerrigan/Swan River into a stunning illuminated pathway, with beacons of light stretching along the river. This incredible new commission, combining light, sculpture and soundscape will transform open spaces along the river into a stunning, illuminated pathway and signalling the arrival of the festival.
